Friday 1st December

Porto Covo to Vila Nova de Milfontes

Meeting at the Porto Covo car park with departing at 10am

Preparing your backpack for 3 days. Walk along the extensive sandy beaches of Ilha do Pessegueiro, Alvados and Malhão, discovering small coves that will surprise you.

20km 5h30 difficulty: moderate

Overnight in Vila Nova de Milfontes and dinner, not included.

Saturday 2nd December

Vila Nova de Milfontes to Almograve

Departure at 9:00 am

You will wash your soul with stunning views over Vila Nova de Milfontes and the Mira River, which meets the Atlantic here. A shorter and less tiring day of walking so you can fully enjoy it. Overnight and dinner in Almograve, not included.

15km 4h difficulty: moderate

Recommended accommodation: Hi Almograve - Youth Hostel, Almograve Beach Hostel

Sunday 3rd December

Almograve to Zambujeira do Mar

Departure at 8:30am

Surrounding trail with handcrafted fishing ports, red dunes, the scent of pine forests and the unique spectacle in the world of storks that nest on the cliffs, make this day a true balm for the senses. Return to Porto Covo by bus, Rede Expressos, around €9, not included, time 17:15, 18:00.

Return home in your own vehicles.

22km 6h difficulty: moderate (depending on the group's progress, this can be shortened to 19km)
