About the event
This route starts at the ruins of the Salir Castle, which attests the Muslim presence in the region. It continues through the fertile floodplains of Ribeira dos Moinhos, passing by orchards, waterwheels and fountains. Many orchards are abandoned and occupied by typical Mediterranean vegetation. We will also pass through some villages and climb hills, where the view of Serra do Caldeirão and Rocha da Pena is impressive.
