Adventure in the Blue Lakes of the Pyrenees

We will explore the French Upper Pyrenees in the GRAN BALAÏTOUS region, crossing the border to the Aragonese Pyrenees, to be dazzled by the beauty of the Blue Lakes, feel the mountain environment, on the trails and in the refuges. It will be an adventure at a leisurely pace with shorter distances so you can really enjoy every sight and moment. The adventure begins in the Ossau Valley, goes up by cable car to access the famous mountain train, Le Petit train d'Artouste, then continues on mountain trails from refuge to refuge until a well-deserved rest in the Thermal Spas of Panticosa.

This adventure is an introduction to the high mountain environment, with its landscapes and challenges. It will be divided into 2 stages allowing the change of intermediate clothes and relieving the weight of the backpack. The autonomy lasts for 5 days in the first stage, plus 2 days in the Panticosa region where we will go up to experience the blue lakes.

Program

Saturday, July 22nd:

7:00 am - Departure from Lisbon, in a place to be arranged.

Travel in shared vehicles to Sallent de Gállego.

Overnight in Formigal.

Sunday, July 23rd:

Go up by cable car to Col d'Artouste, through Valle de Ossau.

Travel on the famous Petite Tren d'Artouste panoramic train to Lac d'Artouste.

Walk from Lac d'Artouste to Migouélou Refuge

Monday, July 24th:

From the Migouélou refuge to the Larribet refuge

12 km / D+ 780m / 6-7h

Tuesday, July 25th:

From Larribet Refuge to Respomuso Refuge

From the Respomuso refuge to the d'Arrémoulit refuge

From the refuge d'Arrémoulit to Fabreges

Trip from Panticosa to Lisbon

Price: €550.00 per person
