Program

Saturday, June 8th:

Arrival at Pico Island

Transfer to the Hotel and check-in.

Free afternoon in Madalena for walks, bathing and shopping.

Sunday, June 9th:

Drive along the beautiful Caminho das Lagoas, stopping at some of them: Lagoa do Peixinho, Lagoa do Caiado and Lagoa do Capitão.

Trail from Lagoa do Capitão to São Roque

12 km - moderate - slope: -600m

Visit to Furnas de Santo António and Natural Pools.

Snorkeling activity in a crystalline well.

Monday, June 10th:

Travel by car to discover the corners of the North Coast, with some small typical towns full of surprises such as Cachorro or Lajido.

Visit to the Center for the Interpretation of the Landscape and Culture of the Vineyard.

Visit to the 3D Volcano and Earthquake Simulator.

Trail at Ponta Noroeste da Ilha

16 km - something difficult

End of the trail in Calheta do Nesquim

Bathing in Natural Pools.

See the sunset in a typical red windmill.

Tuesday, June 11th:

Ascent to Pico - 2351m

Duration: 8 hours (4 hours uphill and 3 hours downhill)

Length: 7.6 kilometres

The 3.8 kilometres from the mountain house to the summit have a slope of 1110 metres.

Boat trip to Sao Jorge

Pedestrian Route Serra do Topo - Fajã de Santo Cristo - Fajã dos Cubres + Fajãs

16km - demanding - 5-6h

In Fajã dos Vimes, we will taste the famous coffee and visit the plantation.

Return to Pico Island

Trail in the Criação Velha - 10km

Visit to the cellar with wine tasting
