Program

Saturday, August 12th:

Arrival at Pico Island

Transfer to the Hotel and check-in.

Free afternoon in Madalena for walks, bathing and shopping.

Welcome group dinner.

Sunday, August 13th:

Drive along the beautiful Caminho das Lagoas (Lagoons Path), stopping at some of them: Lagoa do Peixinho, Lagoa do Caiado and Lagoa do Capitão.

Trail from Lagoa do Capitão to São Roque

12 km - moderate - slope: -600m

Visit to Furnas de Santo António and Natural Pools.

Snorkeling activity in a crystalline well.

Dinner in São Roque (not included)

Monday, August 14th:

Travel by car to discover the corners of the North Coast, with some small typical towns full of surprises such as Cachorro or Lajido.

Visit to the Center for the Interpretation of the Landscape and Culture of the Vineyard.

Visit to the 3D Volcano and Earthquake Simulator.

Trail at Northwest Point of the Island

16 km - somewhat difficult

End of the trail in Calheta do Nesquim

Bathing in Natural Pools.

See the sunset in a typical red windmill.

Tuesday, August 15th:

Ascent to Pico - 2531m

Return to the hotel

Visit to the Wine Museum

Boat trip to Sao Jorge

Pedestrian Route Serra do Topo - Fajã de Santo Cristo - Fajã dos Cubres + Fajãs

16km - demanding - 5-6h

In Fajã dos Vimes, we will taste the famous coffee and visit the plantation.

Return to Pico Island

Visit to the cellar with wine tasting.
