Guided tour of the Alhambra and Generalife, including the NazarÃes Palaces
Â
On a rocky hill, with difficult access, on the banks of the River Darro, protected by mountains and surrounded by forests, among the oldest neighborhoods in the city, the Alhambra stands like an imposing castle with walls of reddish tones that prevent the world from seeing the delicate beauty that it shelters. Originally designed as a military area, the Alhambra became the residence of the royals and court of Granada in the 13th century after the establishment of the Nasrid kingdom and the construction of the first palace, by founding king Mohammed ibn Yusuf ben Nasr, better known as Alhamar.
